What is a credit?

One page of a document is one credit. That is the whole metering model, and it does not change with what is printed on the page.

A one-page invoice is 1 credit

Two line items or two hundred, it costs the same. Line items are extracted in full and never metered.

A 12-page statement is 12 credits

Bank statements are counted by page at the ordinary rate. There is no statement surcharge and no per-transaction fee.

Re-reading a page is free

Reviewing, correcting and exporting the same document as often as you like costs nothing further.

Why that matters when you compare

Plenty of document capture tools meter what is inside the document: a charge per line item, so a 40-line builder's invoice costs many times a two-line fuel receipt, or a separate higher rate for every page of a bank statement. Both models punish you for exactly the paperwork that takes longest to type up by hand. Here a page is a page — the busiest invoice you receive all year costs one credit, the same as the quietest.

What a year actually costs

Two real shapes of paperwork, costed on every option we sell — including the ones that would be a waste of your money.

A sole traderabout 200 documents a year

Roughly 15 purchase invoices and receipts a month, plus a monthly bank statement page and a handful of credit notes — call it 200 pages across the year.

OptionCost for the yearPages includedVerdict
Free€030 pagesCovers a month or two, not the year
One VAT return (€29 pack)€29200 pagesCovers the year on its own — 14.5c a page
One tax year (€69 pack)€69500 pages300 pages of headroom you would not use
Every month (€49/month)€5881,800 pagesNine times the pages you need
Pro (€109/month)€1,3086,000 pagesWrong shape entirely at this volume

Cheapest that covers the year: €29 — the free 30 pages, then one 200-page pack.

A landlordabout 60 documents a year

Two or three properties: management fees, insurance, repairs, an annual mortgage interest certificate and the LPT receipt — around 60 pages for the Form 11.

OptionCost for the yearPages includedVerdict
Free€030 pagesCovers half a year of paperwork
Free + 50-page top-up€980 pagesCovers the year with room to spare
One VAT return (€29 pack)€29200 pagesMore than three years of documents
One tax year (€69 pack)€69500 pagesFar more than a landlord files
Every month (€49/month)€5881,800 pagesA subscription for five documents a month

Cheapest that covers the year: €9 — the free 30 pages, then one 50-page top-up.

Both examples assume mostly single-page invoices and receipts. If you put in a long multi-page bank statement, count its pages — each one is a credit.

Top-ups

Prices exclude VAT. Top-up pages last twelve months from purchase.

Credits expire — here is exactly when

  • The 30 free credits: expire twelve months after you sign up.
  • Pack and top-up credits: expire twelve months from the date you buy them.
  • A monthly plan allowance: resets at the start of each billing period. Unused credits do not carry over into the next month and are not refundable.

No credit accumulates indefinitely and none of it is a stored balance you can bank. Buy for the return in front of you — that is what the one-off packs are for. The full position is in our Terms.

Pricing questions

What counts as a document?

Credits are counted per page, not per document and never per line item. A one-page invoice is one credit whether it has two lines or two hundred. A three-page invoice is three credits, and a twelve-page bank statement is twelve credits — the same rate as any other page, with no surcharge for statements. Tools that meter line items, or that price bank statements separately, get more expensive exactly when your paperwork gets busier. Here the price of a page never changes.

Do credits roll over?

No. On a monthly plan your allowance resets at the start of each billing period and unused credits do not carry over — that is set out in our Terms. Credits bought as a one-off pack or top-up last twelve months from purchase, and the 30 free credits you start with also expire twelve months after signup. Credits expire; nothing accumulates indefinitely.

Do credits expire?

Yes. Pack and top-up credits expire twelve months from purchase, the 30 free starter credits expire twelve months after signup, and a monthly allowance expires at the end of its billing period. Buy the pack that fits the return you are doing rather than stockpiling credits you will not use in time.

Can I change tier mid-month?

Yes. Plans are changed from Settings → Billing at any time, and you can cancel there too. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not refund part-periods. If you are on a one-off pack there is nothing to change or cancel — no subscription is created and no card is kept on file.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — 30 pages free, with no card required. That is enough to run a real batch of your own invoices and receipts through the whole flow, check the extraction against the paperwork, and export the spreadsheet before you decide whether to pay for anything. The free credits expire twelve months after signup.

What happens if I run out of credits?

Processing stops until you have credits again — nothing is charged automatically and nothing you have already parsed is lost or hidden. You can buy a 50-page top-up for €9 from Settings → Billing, buy a larger pack, or move to a monthly plan. Documents already extracted stay exportable regardless of your balance.

How is VAT handled for Irish customers?

Prices on this page are shown excluding VAT, as stated in our Terms. Payment is taken by Stripe, which emails a receipt for every charge that you can keep as your record. If you are VAT registered and need an invoice showing your business name and VAT number, contact support with those details and we will issue one.

Can I get a refund?

Unused credits are non-refundable and we do not offer pro-rata refunds for part of a billing period — see our Terms for the full position. That is exactly why the free tier exists: run your own documents through it first, on your own paperwork, before you spend anything.

Try it on your own paperwork first.
